Dr. Cynthia Osborn is an Associate Professor at Kent State University. Cynthia Osborn earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Ohio University in 1996. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and a certified chemical dependency counselor. Her clinical experience is with persons with co-occuring (mental illness and substance use) disorders. Publications and research interests are in the areas of substance abuse, solution-focused counseling, motivational interviewing, and counselor supervision. Dr. Osborn currently serves as the President of Chi Sigma Iota International (the academic and professional honor society for counselors) and, along with Dr. John West, is Co-Editor of Counselor Education and Supervision.
